As part of the recent EPSRC/GlaxoSmithKline-sponsored initiative in Array Chemistry, this position is available under the supervision of Dr Steve Marsden and Professor Adam Nelson.
A postdoctoral research fellowship is available to develop novel synthetic methodologies appropriate for array synthesis and to use these methodologies in array synthesis of drug-like molecules.
The research effort will be based in alternating years at Leeds and at GlaxoSmithKline’s Stevenage research centre. A commitment to complete periods of work at both sites will be highly important. You will have, or be about to obtain, a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry and will have a strong interest in synthetic organic chemistry and the mechanisation/automation of synthesis and purification. You will also have good IT skills in order to handle large amounts of data.
The Department of Economics at Aarhus School of Business, University of Aarhus, invites applications for a PhD scholarship starting April 1, 2007 or soon thereafter.
The PhD scholarship is fully funded by the ongoing research project Globalisation and Industry Dynamics, which is financed by the Danish Social Science Research Council. The PhD project will be an integrated part of this project. The successful candidate will be affiliated with and positioned at the Department of Economics at Aarhus School of Business, University of Aarhus, Denmark.
Scholars from any Australian and Indonesian institution are invited to apply for funding for research projects addressing major governance issues in Indonesia. Generous financial support is available, with applications being assessed on a competitive basis.
Proposals are welcome on any issue pertaining to governance in Indonesia and may come from any area of the community including media and government.
Core themes for the AIGRP include:
* economic policy, reform strategy and business government relations
* political institutions, public administration, representation of civil society & sectoral interests in policy processes
* law, legal institutions and contracting
* corruption and anti-corruption responses.

Our master program has a strong focus on political and social ethics, and also on public health and bioethics. The program is a joint venture of the universities of LinkÃping (Sweden), Utrecht (The Netherlands) , and Trondheim (Norway). We can offer more than 20 scholarships for the best non-European students. The scholarships amount to approximately 20,000. Decisions about admission and about scholarships will be made on the basis of evaluation of written work and background in ethics and moral philosophy. Approximately 12 scholarships are earmarked for specific (Asian) countries.
The M.Sc. in Urban Planning is an international postgraduate programme that provides a comprehensive professional training in the theory, method and practice of urban and regional planning. A focus on the planning and management of sustainable cities and regions is an important distinguishing feature of the programme and this focus is reinforced by the research carried out in the Centre itself.
Students from a number of Asian countries are eligible to apply for Asian Development Bank Scholarships which provide financial support covering tuition fees and living expenses. Students in Hong Kong are not eligible for ADB scholarship.
