This is a last reminder for applications for the Erasmus Mundus master program and scholarships for students in Applied Ethics. I would be grateful if you could forward this information to interested students.
Our master program has a strong focus on political and social ethics, and also on public health and bioethics. The program is a joint venture of the universities of LinkÃping (Sweden), Utrecht (The Netherlands) , and Trondheim (Norway). We can offer more than 20 scholarships for the best non-European students. The scholarships amount to approximately 20,000. Decisions about admission and about scholarships will be made on the basis of evaluation of written work and background in ethics and moral philosophy. Approximately 12 scholarships are earmarked for specific (Asian) countries.
The Department of Economics at Aarhus School of Business, University of Aarhus, invites applications for a PhD scholarship starting April 1, 2007 or soon thereafter.
The PhD scholarship is fully funded by the ongoing research project Globalisation and Industry Dynamics, which is financed by the Danish Social Science Research Council. The PhD project will be an integrated part of this project. The successful candidate will be affiliated with and positioned at the Department of Economics at Aarhus School of Business, University of Aarhus, Denmark.
The scholarships were established in the year 2005/06, with generous donation from Dr Liu lit-mo, MBE, JP. Scholarships of HK$100,000 each per academic year will be awarded to successful applicants, covering tuition fee, hostel and other academic and living expenses.
Each scholarship is offered on an annual renewable basis and is tenable for a period of up to 3 years, subject to continued outstanding academic performance.
The scholarship will be awarded to a student who has good academic standing and a good track record in community services. For candidates of comparable academic merits, the scholarship will be awarded to the candidate with better proven records of community services.
Students from Asian developing nations are offered the opportunity to pursue their master’s or doctoral studies in fields relating to sustainable poverty reduction at one of Asia ’s leading postgraduate institutions.
Master’s and doctoral scholarships will be provided to students from seven partner countries of the Netherlands in Asia, i.e., Afghanistan , Bangladesh , Indonesia , Mongolia , Pakistan , Sri Lanka and Vietnam. The Netherlands Ministry for Development Cooperation and the Asian Institute of Technology have partnered to offer a program called “Human Resource Development for Asian Partner Countries” from October 2006 to December 2009.

The University of Stavanger’s excellent reputation for petroleum education and research has attracted students both from Norway and all over the globe. The University of Stavanger is proud to announce the commencement of the Master of Science in Offshore Technology in autumn 2007. We are targetting English-speaking engineering students from all over the world, and particularly from countries with an offshore petroleum industry or related industrial areas.
