The Asia Research Institute of NUS invites applications from ASEAN citizens enrolled for a fulltime advanced degree at a university in an ASEAN country (except Singapore) for consideration as ASEAN Research Scholars.
The aim of the fellowship is to enable scholars to make full use of the wide range of resources held in the libraries of NUS and the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies.
ASEAN Research Scholars 2008 are offered to current graduate students working in the Humanities and Social Sciences on Southeast Asian topics, and will allow the recipients to be based at NUS for an ‘in residence fellowship’ for a period of three months.
The SembCorp Industries Undergraduate Scholarships are awarded to applicants of Indonesian nationality who have completed the SMU UAN (Ebtanas) in 2006, or are completing the SMU UAN (Ebtanas) in 2007, or its equivalent.
Applicants who have excellent actual SMU UAN (Ebtanas) results or the most recent school examinations results, or equivalent high school results will be considered. Candidates are expected to show strong records of participation in co-curricular activities. Candidates who are completing the SMU Ebtanas in 2007 may be required to sit the University Entrance Examination (UEE).
Candidates will be considered and shortlisted for interviews through their application for admission to NUS. No separate scholarship application is required.

Application for the Singapore Scholarship must be submitted on the prescribed application form (The application form and supporting documents must be of A4 size and printed on one side only). Please contact the Singapore Embassy/ High Commission/Consulate-General in your capital city for a copy of the Singapore Scholarship brochure and application form. Applicants will be required to submit a typed-written essay of about 300-500 words. The essay is an important part of your application.
The ASEAN Scholarships for Indonesia is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary Three to Pre-University Two and is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar. And the scholarship is tenable for 4 years leading to the award of the Singapore Cambridge General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced’ (GCE ‘A’) Level (or equivalent) certificate.
The ASEAN Scholarships for Indonesia are welcome students from Indonesia to apply to enter Singapore schools at the Secondary Three level.
Criteria:
• Nationals of Indonesia
• Between 14+ to 16+ years old
• Sat for SMP 3 National Final Evaluation Examination (EBTANAS/UAN) and have done consistently well in school
