CIRI Foundation General Fellowship Grants

Applicant must be accepted or enrolled in a seminar or conference that is accredited, authorized, or approved by the CIRI Foundation. For special employment-related non-credit workshops or seminars. Must be Alaska Native Student, CIRI original enrollee, or descendant at least 18 years of age. Application deadlines are March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 1.

Award Grant for use in freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, graduate, or post graduate years; not renewable Amount: up to $500.

Eligibility Requirements Applicant must be age 18 and enrolled or expecting to enroll full or part-time at a two-year or four-year or technical institution or university. Applicant must have 2.5 GPA or higher.




PhD Scholarship Research in Thoretical Seisimic Imaging and Inversion Canada

The Seismic Laboratory for Imaging and Modeling at the University of British Columbia is looking for PhD students interested in pursuing research in theoretical seismic imaging and inversion. The student would be a member of the DNOISE project.

The DNOISE project is an interdisciplinary effort between faculty and students in the departments of Earth and Ocean Sciences, Computer Science, and Mathematics. Students are encouraged to apply to the department most closely aligned with their research interests, and to list on their application one of the DNOISE faculty members. Postdoctoral Fellowship in Signal Processing and Hearing Aids at University of Ottawa Canada

A postdoctoral position is available to work on Intelligent Signal Processing for Environment-Sensitive Hearing Aid Devices, as part of a three-year project funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and Siemens Audiologische Tecknik GmbH to develop advanced signal processing strategies for next generation hearing aids that can adapt to the acoustical environment around the user.

The postdoctoral researcher will join the Signal Processing Oriented Technology (SPOT) group working with researchers from the University of Ottawa and Carleton University (http://www.site.uOttawa.ca/research/spot).
